For leaders to deliver results and personally grow, they need to be able to deliver effectively through people both inside and outside their organisation. Human's though are social and complex beings, each with individual thoughts, feelings, and motivations that can in turn enable or derail any initiative, either actively or passively through their behaviours.
I help the leader to further develop the key drivers of positive relationships for performance, including: effective listening and communication skills, inspiring a team and gaining aligned real commitment, engendering confidence, empowering, and building trust with a 360-degree stakeholder perspective.
My personal experience in this area to complement my coaching skills include many years of working in, and leading within, matrix structured international organisations. I gained a true understanding of how to overcome silo working mentalities, embracing the richness of cultural diversity, and generating genuine effective team working. I have also led numerous client and servicing agency relationships (both as a client and as an agent) creating win win results.
For some, change is invigoration and exciting, for others it is intimidating and something to be resisted. Attitude, and the alignment of the heart and mind within an organisation is needed for change initiatives to be a success.
Change can impact work performance, productivity, self-esteem, confidence, work / life balance and well-being. It will often result in people moving into new roles with new teams where the first 100 days can be so important. The right support of key personnel can be a critical success factor of that change.
I help leaders create and manage successful change supporting them to address the above and other challenges.
My personal experience in this area includes an executive board leadership role in a company within a FTSE 100 organisation that was audited out of control and required radical change to become a profitable well-run market leading organisation. I have also led numerous other change programmes in organisational structure and ways of working across various companies for a better win win outcome.
Many organisations annually provide valuable feedback to their employees through their review processes to try and help them to become a better leader, but far too often there is little behavioural change thereafter.
I help the leader take this feedback and use it to enhance their performance and thereby bring it alive. Through the use of professional behavioural coaching techniques and experience, the leader will obtain a greater self-awareness and a richer understanding and appreciation of the feedback they have received.
They will develop their own forward action programme that they are committed to and I will help them on their journey. This in turn will improve their performance generating a positive impact for all.
Sometimes though the coachee is really looking for a new direction, but they may not have clarity as to what that would be. I help them to discover that new road so that they can have a career that they love, are good at, and one that makes a real meaningful difference so that they do not have that Monday morning feeling anymore.
My personal experience in this area is as an executive with over 30 years line management experience helping team members develop their competencies and skills and to practically use psychometric tools and line manager / 360-degree feedback.
In addition for career direction I utilise a bespoke approach using the IKIGAI philosophy of "life purpose"
